This position is an integral part of the Training and Development team supporting the University of Utah Human Resource Management team and will be assessing the needs of the organization.
Plan, design, develop, schedule, assess and revise professional development for staff to support the goals of the University. Will be designing and creating relevant content and eLearning courses, researching new educational material while understanding current and future trends of adult learning theory and best practices within the learning and development field.
1.Assists and creates engaging content and learning material that supports leaders and employees across the University.
2.Provides expertise and consults with subject matter experts to coordinate appropriate method and delivery of educational material.
3.Coordinates communication efforts for training programs, courses, other learning resources, software and support services.
4.Administration and support for university wide learning management system such as content management, new user set-up and overall maintenance.
5.Updates and maintains learning library for the training and development department.
6.Assist where needed on other projects and special assignments that progress the organization to achieve goals and objectives of Human Resources.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus five years of experience in public or higher education or equivalency required; demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, human relation skills and computer literacy also required. Passionate about learning and development.
