PrincePerelson & Associates Production Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah

A growing company is moving into Utah and they are looking for a Production Manager to join their team. The main purpose of the position will be overseeing a growing team of CAD Drafters that are using; AutoCAD, Sketches, photos, and other information to produce accurate and high quality As-Built drawings. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a drafter and experience managing a team of drafters.

Responsibilities of the Production Manager Include:

  • Effectively manage the team and production schedules and provide necessary production support to hit budget and delivery targets.

  • Maintain and enforce company CAD standards and Production systems-including; drafting, QA, CAD Setup, training, and tracking to ensure Quality and Consistency.

  • Proactively communicate, provide feedback, and work with all company offices, managers, peers, surveyors, drafters, and other team members to ensure smooth and orderly day to day operations of the team.

  • Work with team to strategically determine optimum drafting labor resources as it relates to quality, quantity and skill set of employee.

  • Recruit, develop, train, and maintain a team of drafting employees and partners that are able to meet the production needs of the team.

  • Maintain and improve upon the current drafting processes, standards, and systems to ensure that all work is produced consistently and to company standards.

  • Prepare and execute Performance Management systems for reporting employees via 1-on-1 meetings and performance reviews according to company standards.

  • Draft and/or QA projects as needed based on teams capacity and work load.

  • Work with Project Managers to customize output to meet client’s needs.

  • Establish and maintain a standard of performance indicators for operations.

Qualification and Experience of the Production Manager:

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Drafting or Construction Management

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Drafting or Architectural environment

  • Minimum 3 years supervisor experience

  • Experience managing within a technical environment

  • Experience or familiarity with AutoCAD 2D

  • Experience with Revit and Point Cloud is preferred

  • Dynamic and experienced Leader

  • Health and safety knowledge

  • Budgeting and business acumen
