Post Holdings Warehouse Supervisor - Salt Lake City, UT in Salt Lake City, Utah

Responsible for the day-to-day operations by directing team members in the areas of receiving, handling, storage, PPA, and staging & loading to meet internal/external Customers expectations. Responsible for the skill development of warehouse team members. May take on the role of the SQF practitioner for assigned DC.


  1. Achieve and maintain alignment in the value chain between suppliers, Post Consumer Brands, and the Customer.

  2. Develop staff skills, standards, and engagement through training and performance reviews.

  3. Provides management/leadership to multiple shifts.

  4. Provides work direction & leadership to the value-added process (PPA) provided at the warehouse

  5. Responsible for all intermediate, packaging & finished goods inventory adjustments, and cycle counting activities that occur in assigned shifts

  6. Responsible for on-hand inventory management activities; productivity, accuracy, noncompliant product & loss prevention (damage) programs; includes providing executable data on inventory position (receipts/shipments/in-transit) for DRP; oversees end of year physical counts and transfers reconciled inventory reports to Accounting

  7. Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed and documented correctly at all times

  8. Ensures that operations are conducted safely and within terms of Company policy, contracts, government regulations and the law

  9. Schedules and instructs team members in proper safety procedures; maintains forklift driver certification program including fork lift regional and national rodeos

  10. Maintaining warehouse to PCB and SQF standards for sanitation

  11. May acts as the SQF Practitioner for assigned DC’s

  12. Perform other functions or services as required or assigned.

  13. Complete all training as assigned.

  14. Creates and communicates employee work schedules; assigns workers to specific duties

  15. Audits, balances, validates, and approves weekly payroll for assigned shifts; ensures proper pay codes are used to reflect actual work

  16. Reports productivity and performance measures as directed.


Education – Four-year degree in Logistics, Business, or related field is preferred. A two-year degree is required.

Language Skills – Bi-lingual preferred; at a minimum, the ability to understand and make oneself understood to all Spanish-speaking individuals.

Experience – 4 years increasing supervisory responsibility in distribution; food warehousing/production operations experience in a team environment is ideal; must have at least 2 years forklift experience and 2 years of bar code scanning experience; knowledge of computerized warehouse management tools is required. Previous direct people management is required.

Skills – Thorough understanding of warehouse, delivery and traffic operations within a distribution environment; knowledge of industry and government regulations; experience in team building; experience in work systems applications; understands and uses Company systems and query tools to manage information and measure/report performance; self-motivated, dependable, organized, customer service oriented, self-sufficient, able to work as a member of a team; flexibility in work schedule to back-up other Supervisors as needed; possesses excellent interpersonal skills, including listening and follow-through; excellent communication skills; able to operate in a high stress, dynamic environment; must possess the ability to create original correspondence; good computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JDE, Timetrak, Mom Insights, Cosmos, internal WMS tools, and other applications as required to research or collect information.)

Management Skills – Ability to develop and achieve performance goals and objectives in the area of productivity, accuracy and cost; strong supervisory skills, ability to solve practical problems, strong math skills; ability to track cost savings and cost avoidance metrics; ability to recruit, interview, train and evaluate new hires; flexible in responding to the needs of the business in a timely manner, must be strong at establishing priorities and obtaining results; maintains standards for food safety/security, people safety/security and warehouse activities/functions.
