Junior Front-End Web Developer position responsible for the development of websites for Huntsman Cancer Institute, part of the University of Utah and University of Utah Health. Candidate will work within Cascade Server (Content Management System) building front-end public websites and have experience with responsive design frameworks and interfacing with web service architecture. Candidate will work closely with other departments and web team members and participate in coming up with solutions to technical and institutional challenges. Manages a large number of concurrent projects.
• Triaging and handling webmaster questions and trouble tickets
• Conducting QA and Usability testing
• Integrating sites with existing web services
• Tracking project tasks
• Building templates, or reusable pieces within our Content Management System
• Learning new technologies and web development methods
Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). 2 years of experience in web software development or related area.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
