Kforce has a client searching for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in South Jordan, Utah (UT).Overview:The client is seeking an experienced and versatile Software QA Engineer to assist with testing and qualifying Web, API, and hardware for product releases. You will be responsible for testing new hardware products & applications in early development phases and communicating with internal development teams. You should be able to represent QA concerns in cross-functional team meetings and provide valuable end-user feedback to improve the customer experience.This position requires deeper understanding of the software development life-cycle, experience with a variety of testing techniques, strong written and organizational skills, and networking experience. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will develop and execute an organized test plan to release high quality products to market on schedule.Responsibilities include:

  • Work with Software, API, and Hardware development teams in an Agile development environment to test in-house products and applications

  • Design and refine test plans for new products/features to ensure adequate test coverage

  • Write and execute various types of test cases such as integration, System and performance to test UI and API

  • Record test results and provide a high-level summary of areas tested

  • Scrub defects reported from internal team and external partners, suggest the defect severity and urgency with good knowledge of user cases

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and balancing the delivery of quality products with aggressive release cycle

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical field

  • 5 years of experience writing and executing QA test plans and test cases for software or consumer electronics products

  • Hands on experience with testing, analyzing and troubleshooting communication between front-end and API/Web Services

  • Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and Jenkins

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment

  • Knowledge of consumer products and user interfaces

  • Thorough understanding of QA methodology and best practices

  • Excellent at troubleshooting the systems and application level to provide detailed bug reports

  • Ability to use browser developer tools, to investigate problems and characterize them in-depth

  • Able to multi-task, triage issues, react well to changes, and work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and know when to seek guidance
